We have all become more aware of the impact businesses and people have on the earth’s atmosphere, especially with regard to global warming.

As a result, and with the support of our Board of Directors, PS has now added Environmental Responsibility to its Corporate Mission.

This means that the consideration of environmental impact will become a much more important component of our daily activities.

In taking this step, PS is committing to work nationally to reduce our environmental impact by developing a program that will:

• Reduce fossil fuel usage wherever possible,
• Reduce &/or control fossil fuel emissions wherever possible,
• Improve all aspects of recycling,
• Take any other action that could reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and
• Educate employees, customers, vendors & other business partners in the role businesses can play in regard to environmental sustainability.

Actions taken so far:

• Created a national green team – representing all offices – currently developing a green plan
• Commissioned a report on the use of biodiesel fuel versus the use of diesel exhaust emission reducing after treatment devices (“scrubbers”)  Click here to view Report!
• Adding diesel scrubbers to our generators
• Founding partner of the Ontario Green Screen Initiative
• Updating fluorescent fixtures & lamps
• Enhanced recycling program
• Use of programmable thermostats
• Encouraging electronic invoice delivery to clients
